She was a sweet woman a great grandmother and was loved by her family very much and missed just as much she was the heart of this family and I miss her.She was kind to strangers and had a heart as big as this world and she was took from us way to soon.

I know that the song is about a mother,so for all of you who are wondering why I choose this song for my grandmother it is because this song explains just how I feel she was the greatest mom and grandmother that anyone could ever have she helped raise me for a while she was my second mom she rocked me she read to me and most of all she spoiled me rotten. So I feel if there where medals really giving in heaven I know she would get about a million of them but just like the song says the biggest medal she would get would be the one for her love because she loved all of us no matter what we did wrong. My uncles use to tell me in her eyes I could do no wrong and I would get anything I wanted I just wish I could have got a chance to say how much I love her one more time cause I miss her so much and so does the rest of our family how can we not miss a woman like her.She was the worlds best grandmother a girl could ever have.

WE LOVE AND MISS YOU MAW MAW

I PROMISE I WILL HEAR…..

Don't think of me as dead and gone
Please understand I have just moved on
God took my hand
When you thought I had died

And led me over to the other side.
There's a better life
Than the one we know
And to it one day we all must go

No more pain, hardship,
Or times of misery
Instead there's all our loved ones
As happy as can be.

You may not see me for a little while
Hear me laugh or see me smile
But I promise you with all my heart
From the ones I love I will never part.

I will always be with you,
However far you walk
I will always listen,
When you feel you need to talk

So when you are saddened
Or driven to despair
Take comfort from the knowledge
That I am always there.

One day soon I will share with you
The happiness I have found
And you will see life doesn't end
Six feet beneath the ground

Forget about graveside visits
And fresh flowers every day
A yearly verse in the papers
Is surely not the way

When there is something you want to say
Or you wish that I was near
Just talk to me like you always did
I promise I will hear.

UNTIL TILL THAT DAY

Until that day I'll think of you,
the love we shared, the memories too.

Until that day I'll think of you,
I'll try so hard in all I do.

Until that day I'll find out why,
you had to leave with no "goodbye".

Until that day this is so,
your family misses you, more than you'll know.

Until that day You'll be with him,
your God, your Savior, and new best friend.

Until that day I see you there,
you're in my heart, you're everywhere.

Until that day.

Maw-Maw

Maw-maw,I was thinking of you today and a smile
tickled my face.
Remembering all the things you taught me,like always to say grace.
I remember sitting in your lap while you read the Bible out loud,
To hear me sing a gospel song made you so proud,
I thought of those Saturday mornings I watched them fix your hair,
I remember crossing the street and hearing GIRL YOU BETTER STOP RIGHT THERE!!!!
I remember the goodness you instilled in me though' sometimes it doesn't show,
You played a very special part in my life and I thought that you should know.....
My childhood is filled with memories of you that you couldn't buy with a POT FILLED with GOLD!!
And even though I am all grown and you have left this old world behind
In my heart I'll always know that I was loved and
will always be MAW-MAW's LIL GIRL!!!!

My grandmother

I remember back to when I was about three,
when you gently placed me upon your bended knee.
You placed your arms around me,
And I could plainly see,
That all the love in your heart was there just for me.

When I was grown, I brought my children to Grandma's home.
My son, who was about three, you placed him gently upon your knee.
It brought back memories of you and me.

Now looking back, I think I have the key,
The hidden secret to your longevity.

It is your kindness, your spirit, your love.
Which is that great gift sent from above.

It's a love without measure or degree
It's a love that will last for eternity.

The things that I will remember,
Is your love for each- family member

Grandma

Thank you for the gift of love,
now you're sharing it up above.
You had many things to say.
All in a caring way.
You always saw good in everyone,
No matter what they've done.
You were always the one we could all lean on.
Even though it must have felt like a ton.
You were always the strength of the family.
Now we must let you rest calmly.
As we say goodbye,
as tears roll down our eyes.
I know your place in heaven has a good view.
Because you're telling God,
I need to keep an eye on a few.
I know you will always be in our hearts and mind.
So Grandma,
I must go, but I'll never forget you're one of a kind.
